I’m not even a sports enthusiast but holy crap, this is the coolest thing I’ve seen in soccer since I watched UK football fans get drunk and rowdy during the World Cup finals in 2006.
I’m wondering about the physics involved here – does his gymnastics training allow for the ball to be thrown harder, faster and with more accuracy? Does it beguile the opposing team into such a stupor that they are more captivated by Michael Harris’s mind-blowing flip-throw, than where the ball ultimately ends up? Since he uses his hands, does it still count as a proper soccer technique?
More importantly, which Major League Soccer team is going to swipe up this University of Washington student to claim as their own secret weapon?
